The following chart is an example of Davidson County’s established teacher pay scale.  Please note that each county will determine teacher compensation according to the criteria selected by that county’s governing body.  In addition to state and federal money, area property taxes generally factor into public teacher salaries. Therefore, area property tax differences may contribute to the different pay scales observed across counties.
